MONA Foundation
MONA is a Rehabilitation Centre where chimpanzees and macaques that have suffered abuse — previously used in circuses, television, advertising, or even kept as pets — are rescued and rehabilitated. This type of abuse remained largely invisible in our society until recently.
The centre provides an excellent home for these rescued primates, where they recover by living in family groups with others of their species in a natural environment. MONA offers them the second chance they deserve for a more dignified life free from suffering.
